Future Science Group and IWA Publishing today joined the Coalition for Responsible Sharing. This follows December’s announcement that the American Medical Association, the American Physiological Society, Portland Press (wholly-owned by the Biochemical Society) and World Scientific Publishing have joined the Coalition. It takes the total number of Coalition members to 11.
Along with the existing members of the Coalition, the new members will be issuing takedown notices to ResearchGate to stop the website’s practice of illicitly distributing final research articles published by societies and publishers for its own commercial purposes.
The Coalition of information analytics businesses, publishers and societies now includes the American Chemical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Physiological Society, Brill, Elsevier, Future Science Group, IWA Publishing, Portland Press (wholly-owned by the Biochemical Society), Wiley, Wolters Kluwer, and World Scientific Publishing.
